Why Printers Don't Work

There are many reasons why a printer may not work or stop working.
They are:

 1 CMOS Setting is incorrect (wrong type of port: SPP, ECP, Bi-Di)
 2 Driver not installed
 3 Wrong Driver selected
 4 wrong default printer selected
 5 Defective printer cable
 6 Wrong type printer cable (old type instead of IEEE/BI-Di)
 7 Defective Port (burned out by static electricity)
 8 Defective Printer (burned out by static electricity or failure)
 9 Driver conflict
10 Corrupted Application Software
11 Virus

Check settings for above, substitute, reinstall drivers, check for virus',
backup data, reformat and reinstall operating system, all drivers, and software,
restore data
