Dell wires power supplies and motherboards non standard. 3 Watch out for STATIC electricity 4 Watch out for SURGES and the "back door" (modem, network card, connected TV cable to tuners must have surge protection. 5 Never plug in a card, memory, keyboard, or CPU with the power supply on 6 Never connect a floppy, hard, or CD ROM drive with the power on 7 Never connect a floppy, hard, or CD ROM drive with a reversed cable on either drive or to the controller - damage will result 8 Carefully handle and plug in the CPU - you can bend or break pins 9 Watch out for sharp edges on the computer case 10 Buy from a dealer whom you can trust and get help from and obtain service 11 Beware of plugging in AT power supply connectons to the wrong connector 12 Pentium 4 and Athelon use an extra power connector - failure to use the plug may burn up the motherboard traces 13 When mounting the motherboard, line up the holes with the mounting positions, make sure all posts are screwed down, and make sure no post is sticking up underneath to short out the motherboard.
